How Your Investment Works
GPOD's Earned Wage Access (EWA) investment gives you the opportunity to fund a service that helps workers access their already-earned wages before payday, while generating ethical returns for you as an investor.
You Invest in the EWA Fund
Your capital joins a Shariah-compliant fund that provides advances to workers who need access to their earned wages.
Workers Access Their Earned Wages
Workers pay a small fixed fee (not interest) to access wages they've already earned but haven't been paid yet.
Fees Generate Ethical Returns
The fixed fees create a steady revenue stream that is shared with investors like you â creating halal returns without interest.
Everyone Benefits
Workers avoid predatory loans, employers see happier staff, and you receive ethical returns â creating a virtuous cycle of ethical finance.

Islamic Investment Principles
Our EWA investment strictly adheres to Islamic finance principles, ensuring your money only supports ethical, halal activities.
No Riba (Interest)
100% interest-free investment structure
No Riba (Interest)
"Allah has permitted trade and forbidden interest." (Qur'an 2:275)
Our EWA investment generates returns through fixed service fees, not interest. This creates ethical profits from real economic activity rather than exploitative lending.
Asset-Backed
Investments tied to real economic activity
Asset-Backed
"O you who believe, do not consume one another's wealth unjustly but only [in lawful] business by mutual consent." (Qur'an 4:29)
Your investment is backed by workers' earned wages â real assets that have already been earned through honest work, not speculative ventures.
No Gharar
Avoids excessive uncertainty and speculation
No Gharar
"The Prophet (īˇē) forbade the sale of gharar." (Sahih Muslim)
EWA investments have clear terms and transparent mechanics. Returns come from service fees on already-earned wages, eliminating excessive uncertainty about future outcomes.
Ethical Impact
Positive social welfare (Maslaha)
Ethical Impact
"The best of people are those most beneficial to people." (Hadith)

Common Questions
How is the investment Shariah-compliant?
Our EWA investment avoids interest (riba) by generating returns through fixed service fees rather than lending. The investment is backed by real assets (workers' earned wages), avoids excessive uncertainty (gharar), and doesn't involve speculation (maysir). All aspects have been certified by respected Shariah scholars and adhere to AAOIFI standards.
What returns can I expect?
Target returns range from 8-15% per annum depending on the risk profile you choose. Conservative portfolios target 8%, balanced portfolios aim for 12%, and growth portfolios target 15%. As with all investments, returns are not guaranteed and depend on various factors including market conditions and operational performance.
What's the minimum investment?
The minimum investment is ÂŖ1,000 for direct investments, ÂŖ1,000 for ISA wrappers, and ÂŖ5,000 for SIPP pension wrappers. You can also set up regular monthly contributions starting from ÂŖ100 per month.
How accessible is my money?
For direct investments, you can access your funds with 30 days' notice. ISA investments have the same 30-day notice period while maintaining their tax-free status. SIPP pension investments are designed for retirement and are subject to pension rules, generally accessible from age 55 (57 from 2028).
Is Zakat due on this investment?
Yes, Zakat is generally due on direct and ISA investments if they meet the nisab threshold and have been held for a full lunar year. SIPP investments are typically not subject to Zakat until they become accessible (usually at retirement age). We provide a Zakat calculator and guidance to help you fulfill your obligations.
How are the funds protected?
Your investment is protected through a robust security framework. All investments are backed by real assets (earned wages), and we maintain strict segregation of client funds. Our operations are overseen by regulatory authorities, and we maintain appropriate insurance coverage. While not covered by the FSCS in the same way as bank deposits, we implement multiple safeguards to protect investor capital.
